Built for adventure, refined for comfort.

The V2 Canmore All Mountain Dog Leash is the upgraded version of one of Rocky Mountain Dog’s top sellers — with over 7,000 units of V1 sold, we took what worked, made it better, and kept the soul of the original.

Inspired by the mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, this leash is built for dogs and humans who do more than just walk — they explore. Whether you’re trail running, hiking summits, or navigating urban trails, the V2 delivers freedom, control, and durability in one versatile leash.

Now enhanced with a stronger, longer-lasting colour treatment and "Canmore" woven into the design, the V2 version is a tribute to outdoor dogs and their humans.

Key features:

  • Hands-free versatility: Clip around your waist or carry by hand
  • Zero-shock bungee section: Absorbs pulls for smooth motion and comfort
  • Neoprene-cushioned handle: For all-day trail use without discomfort
  • Quick-grab traffic handle: Extra control in busy or high-alert areas
  • D-ring + barrel lock loop: Attach waste bags or keys with ease
  • Adventure-grade webbing: Weather-resistant, tough, and built to last
  • Two lengths:
    • 6 ft / 1.8 m
    • 8 ft / 2.4 m
    • Both: 25 mm / 1 in wide

Please note: The listed length (6 ft or 8 ft) is the total leash length when used with the handle. When worn around your waist for hands-free use, the leash portion connecting to your dog will be shorter.

Design Inspired by the Rockies

Our signature pattern is a tribute to Canmore’s mountain skyline, showcasing:

  • Three Sisters Peaks (Big Sister, Middle Sister, Little Sister)
  • Ship’s Prow Mountain
  • Mount Lawrence Grassi
  • Miners Peak
  • Ha Ling Peak
  • And Grassi Knob in the foreground

Each version also features a lone wolf and either a crescent moon in the Northern Lights design or a radiant sun in the Sunrise version.

Legend has it: The name Three Sisters comes from an Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney) tale. The trickster, Ĩ-ktomnĩ, would promise three sisters in marriage whenever he was in trouble — and the majestic peaks were named in honour of the story.

Choose Your Style

  • Sunrise: Bold and bright with pink, yellow, and sky blues
  • Northern Lights: Mysterious and moody with blacks and deep greens

Each leash now features “Canmore” woven into the design, grounding the gear in its Canadian mountain roots.

Pair it with the V2 Canmore Alpine Dog Collar for a matching set built for your next adventure.
